Since the beginning of the 90s, there has been such a term in Poland for a certain very unsuccessful, imitative and ugly supposed music. Such crap "disco-polo" caught my eye again recently. They don't even try to be decent anymore and blindly throw a lie between the eyes!! Last years they call this crap music by the word DISCO.

As an old old school and very pioneer disco deejay from 1969-2011 and an author of books on the history of discos and deejays, I always protest when I see such frauds. The organizers shamelessly stole a world name and are misleading!!

DISCO - is a respectable and respected term for disco music and culture from the 70s in the entire civilized world - created in the USA and the UK almost at the same time. This word was created by abbreviation (the first 5 letters) from the full term DISCOTHEQUE. Polish illiterates don't know about it because they don't want to learn the world's or even Polish history of discos and DJing. They thoughtlessly mix up names, definitions - the truth with their "disco-polo" crap. I reported about it and it is still widely available on the Polish and global internet:

SUCH CRAP WITH A FAKE NAME HAS APPEARED BEFORE, THEY HAVE BEEN PLAYING THIS FAKE NAME SINCE 2015, I THINK IN DIFFERENT PLACES IN POLAND AND NO ONE RESPONDES - MUSIC MEDIA, RADIO, TV, DEEJAYS(??) ETC... 
looks like we're dealing with illiterates here :-)

There are many books and educational materials in the world about the history of disco and deejays from which you can learn everything and not be 'illiterate' --- here are some of them - they provide a solid education about the Polish and world history of disco. It seems that in Poland no one has read them, does not know about their existence!!
